A Review of Sacral Fractures (Tailbone Fractures) (Orthopedics / Fracture Repair)
The primary objective of this study is to identify and collect treatment and outcomes for patients with sacral insufficiency fractures that were treated with placement of a screw and injection of bone cement to reinforce the surgical repair of the sacral insufficiency fracture.
All patients treated by the PI between 8/1/1999 and 4/30/2009 timeframe.
Patients between the ages of 18 and 99 years old. who experienced a sacral insufficiency fracture (CPT code to be evaluated is 27216).
Percutaneous skeletal fixation of posterior pelvic ring fracture and/or dislocation (includes ilium, sacroiliac joint and/or sacrum).
