Use of the PEAK PlasmaBladeTM 4.0 total knee replacement (Orthopedics / Knee Replacement)
This is a retrospective review to examine operative metrics and post-operative outcomes in total knee replacement (TKR) surgery with the PEAK PlasmaBlade 4.0 compared to the current standard of care (SOC), scalpel and traditional electrosurgery.
Age between 20 and 70 years old.
Physically healthy, stable weight.
Undergone single or bilateral total knee replacement.
Age younger than 20 years or greater than 80 years old.
Severe cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
Taking any anticoagulation medication during the time of surgery.
Taking any medication known to affect healing during the time of surgery.
