Hypoventilation in Metabolic Alkalosis (Internal Medicine)
Description
Metabolic alkalosis is a common condition in which the body becomes more alkalotic (less acidotic) due to excessive loss of acid from the body or excessive retention of bicarbonate. Hypoventilation is a decrease in the depth of lung respiration.
