Patient Variables Which May Predict Length of Stay, Hospital Costs, and Mortality in Elderly Patients with Hip Fractures
The purpose of this study is to identify the factors which contribute to increased length of stay after hip fracture surgery, and therefore lead to increased overall costs in the treatment of the elderly hip fracture.
Subjects between the ages of 60 and 99 years.
Subjects who experienced operative fixation of low energy hip fractures.
Required treatment from 1/1/05 to 10/31/10.
Less than 60 years old or greater than 99 years old.
Subjects who did not experience operative fixation of low energy hip fractures.
Did not require treatment from 1/1/05 to 10/31/10.
