The Effects of Iliofascial Block on Internal Fixation of Hip Fractures (Orthopedics / Fracture Repair)
The primary objective of this study is evaluate if a regional block has any effect on pain tolerance and if this effects the fracture repair because subjects will potentially weight bear more after surgery because of the decreased pain that they may feel.
Age 60 years or greater.
Isolated intertrochanteric femur fracture.
Required treatment with a cephalomedullary device.
Less than 60 years old.
Subjects who experienced associated fractures which may influence the postoperative rehabilitation.
