Title   A Retrospective Review of Clamp-Assisted Intramedullary Nailing of Closed Diaphyseal and Metaphyseal Distal Tibia Fractures (Orthopedics / Fracture Repair)
Description   Evaluate the treatment and outcomes to determine the effect of clamp application on quality of reduction, complications, and rates of union.

Inclusion/Notes   INCLUSION:
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 99 years who experienced a tibial shaft fracture.

  • Required treatment of tibial shaft fracture (with or without fibular fracture) by intramedullary implant with or without interlocking screws and/or cerclage treated by PI from 9/1/05 to 7/31/09.

EXCLUSION:
  • Less than 18 years old or greater than 99 years old.

  • Subjects that do not require treatment of tibial shaft fracture (with or without fibular fracture) by intramedullary implant with or without interlocking screws and/or cerclage.
