Our Community Engagement and Advocacy Department provides systemwide support through philanthropy, faith and spirituality integration, government affairs and advocacy and community affairs. The department strategically aligns and maintains partnerships with key business and community stakeholders whose mission, vision and values align with Texas Health Resources.

Community Affairs
Texas Health Gives. It's what we do every day by caring for our patients, for each other and for more than six million residents in North Texas. From social responsibility to employee volunteerism and charitable giving, Community Affairs works to develop and maintain key business and community relationships.
- Community Health and Improvement
As a faith-based, nonprofit health care system, Texas Health Resources gave $783 million in charity care and community benefit funds in 2012.
- Faith and Spirituality
As a faith-based healthcare organization, we respect each person's faith and spirituality during the health care journey. Our goal is to integrate faith and spirituality in all we do with patients, employees, volunteers, physicians and communities in living our mission.
- Foundations and Giving
Texas Health Harris Methodist Foundation and Texas Health Presbyterian Foundation foster philanthropic relationships to help support needs across the Texas Health Resources family of hospitals.
- Government Affairs and Advocacy
We advocate for Texas Health Resources in the public policy arena to enhance health care delivery and strengthen the capacity of the organization to improve the health of North Texas residents.
