Know Your Heart Failure Zone. Use this helpful Heart Failure Zone Guide to gauge which heart failure zone you’re in today. This will tell you if you are in the green zone and all is clear; the yellow zone – time to call your doctor; or the red zone – time to call 911.

Print out this handy weight chart and tape it to the back of your bathroom door. Weigh yourself each morning, and record your weight and heart failure zone. If you gain three pounds or more in one day or five pounds or more in one week, call your doctor. You may need a medication adjustment to reduce fluid buildup.
