Phlebitis

Phlebitis, also known as thrombophlebitis, is the inflammation and swelling of a vein caused by a blood clot.

Symptoms:

Symptoms of phlebitis may include pain, tenderness, redness (erythema) and bulging of the vein. However, phlebitis may or may not cause symptoms.
