According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the No. 1 killer among women over the age of 20. Many are surprised to discover this is the case. But heart disease kills one woman per minute, taking more lives than the next four causes of death combined.
To help raise awareness of this disease – and help raise money to fight it – Texas Health Resources has continued its partnership with the American Heart Association as the cause sponsor for the 2014 Go Red™ for Women campaign. Go Red™ is the AHA’s nationwide movement that celebrates the energy, passion and power of women to band together and wipe out heart disease. Learn more about the 2014 luncheon events:
