Mihan Warzandeh, R.N.
Selected as one of the top students in Iran to study to become a nurse anesthetist during her country’s war with Iraq, Mihan Warzandeh, R.N., believes in the importance of education.
Warzandeh is a nurse in the Special Care Unit at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. She didn’t think twice about supporting her three daughters when they decided to pursue master’s degrees in biomedical engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington.
She teamed up with Texas Health to make sure her daughters could pursue their dreams, saving thousands of dollars through Texas Health's Tuition Reimbursement Program.
“I am very thankful for the program, and I realize that most hospitals don’t offer this much benefit for college tuition,” Warzandeh said.
Designed to encourage employees and their eligible dependents to further their education, Texas Health's Tuition Reimbursement Program reimburses tuition and fees for approved courses that benefit Texas Health or the employee’s position at Texas Health.
Thousands of dollars a year are available for both full- and part-time employees and their eligible dependents pursuing clinical degrees. Employees can even be reimbursed thousands of dollars for working on a non-clinical degree.

Nursing at Texas Health Resources is more than a science. It is more than an art. It is a calling characterized by compassion, purpose, meaning and respect.
Texas Health honors that calling by creating a Magnet(ic) work environment for nurses that promotes professional autonomy, nursing excellence and evidence-based practice. It is an environment where compassion — both for patients and each other — is standard operating procedure, based on the organization's Promise. This environment also provides a Texas Health nurse with competitive compensation, as well as a combination of benefits that is hard to beat.
