Texas Health Cleburne Recognizes Employees for Their Service|
CLEBURNE, Texas — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne recently recognized three employees for their dedication to its patients.
“One of the highlights of my job is recognizing our employees for the care and attention they offer each of our patients,” said Blake Kretz, FACHE, hospital president. “Salvador, Mark and Brenda truly embody the spirit of Texas Health employees who strive to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve. Their commitment to providing the best service they can is evident in their daily interactions.”
Salvador Villacorta received the Living the Mission Award. Villacorta is a chef in Texas Health Cleburne Food Services. He joined the hospital in August 2009. Villacorta was recognized for his attention to detail and the warm smile he shares when greeting visitors to the cafeteria.
Mark Ely was awarded the Helping Hands Award. Ely served as a volunteer chaplain for Texas Health Cleburne for 18 years. He recently joined the hospital’s staff as a part-time employee to care for the spiritual needs of patients, their families and employees of the hospital.
Brenda Marek received the Patient Safety Star Award. Marek has worked at the hospital for 13 years. She currently is a laboratory assistant leader. Marek was recognized for her work participating in hospital teams to tweak processes and procedures to improve patient safety. “She is a customer-oriented employee who we all are proud of,” her supervisor said.
Texas Health Resources CEO Doug Hawthorne participated in the awards presentation via videoconference to congratulate the recipients.
