Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne Honors Top Employees, Manager, Volunteer

CLEBURNE, Texas — When Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne recently named two employees, a volunteer, and a manager of the year, it became clear that all four individuals had two things in common — compassion and a dedication to detail.

“Nearly every health care worker goes into the field to help patients, but in the day to day bustle it’s easy to be pulled into the task at hand,” said Blake Kretz, FACHE, hospital president. “These employees exhibit the best of Texas Health Cleburne.”

Cindy Hartt, MSW, LMSW, works in medical management and received the Clinical Employee of the Year award. Her nominator said that Hartt consistently tells patients, “I will be happy to do that.” It seems simple, but combined with Hartt’s follow through it makes a big difference to patients and their families.

Marsha Adams, a human resources generalist, was named Non-Clinical Employee of the Year. Adams took on extra responsibilities while the hospital found a new director of human resources. “She is absolutely fantastic,” her nominator said.

Lee Lennington, radiology director, was named Leader of Excellence. His nominator wrote that Lennington expects nothing but excellence in himself and his employees and is quick to provide information and help to other employees and to patients and their families.

Joy Garey was named Volunteer of the Year. Garey oversees the Texas Health Cleburne gift shop. “Joy dedicates a lot of time and effort to finding great items for our patients and their families,” said her nominator.

“We are happy to recognize Cindy, Marsha, and Lee for their outstanding work each day and Joy for the hours she gives to the hospital,” Kretz said. “We encourage our patients and their families to let us know how our employees are doing during your visits or through our patient satisfaction surveys. We truly appreciate the feedback and use it to improve our service and recognize employees.”
