Stephenville CT Services Earn National Accreditation|
STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Computed tomography (CT) services located at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville have earned accreditation from the American College of Radiology. The CT services are provided by Erath CT Partners, a joint venture between Stephenville Medical and Surgical Clinic and Texas Health Stephenville.
CT scanning — sometimes called CAT scanning — is a noninvasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and tailor treatments for various medical conditions.
The three-year accreditation is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed.
“We are thrilled to have received this accreditation which is considered the gold standard in the industry,” said Suzanne Atwood-Perez, radiology unit manager at Texas Health Stephenville. “Facilities must maintain required levels of quality and patient safety to earn this recognition and I’m proud of our employees.”
Employees at Texas Health Stephenville focus each day on improving quality, patient safety and patient satisfaction.
“This accreditation is a great recognition for the work being done by radiology medical director Dr. Nanette Evans and Suzanne’s team,” said Christopher Leu, hospital president. “The whole team worked hard to meet the stringent standards and provide high quality care to individuals in Erath and the surrounding counties.”
