Pink Bag Lunch and Women’s Health Forum to Highlight Preventive Health|
CLEBURNE, Texas — On Tuesday, May 3, women from around Cleburne are invited to share laughs and lunch while learning what steps they can take to protect their health and wellness.
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne, along with the Black and White Gala and Friends of Texas Health Cleburne, will host the annual Pink Bag Lunch and Women’s Health Forum. It will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Cleburne Conference Center. The event is free, but registration is required.
Dr. Stephanie J. Morton, a physician on the medical staff at Texas Health Cleburne, will speak about what women need to know about preventive health care, including when and what steps to take for their wellness.
“The Pink Bag Lunch and Women’s Health Forum is always fun for the community and for the hospital,” said Blake Kretz, FACHE, hospital president. “The luncheon is a chance for women to learn important information about their health and take time to care for themselves.”
The Pink Bag Lunch & Women’s Health Forum event is funded by the Black & White Gala and Friends of Texas Health Cleburne. The annual event began in 2000 and typically between 300 and 400 women attend. Health education materials and information on Black & White Gala sponsored programs, such as “Mammograms are a Must!,” “Shots for Tots,” and “Know Your PSA,” are available at the event. Hospital volunteers are on hand at the event to help as well.
