Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano Names New Director of Patient Access Services|
PLANO, Texas — April Hoke has been named director of patient access services and centralized scheduling for Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano.
Hoke, a 12-year industry veteran, joins Texas Health Plano from Methodist Dallas Medical Center, where she served as a patient access director.
In her new role, Hoke will provide leadership in the patient access department with focus on scheduling, patient satisfaction, and the registration process, while aligning with the ancillary departments of the hospital.
“We are pleased to have April aboard and look forward to the imprint she will have at Texas Health Plano,” said Dr. Jeffrey Canose, hospital president.
“Since moving to Dallas, I have heard many positive things about the Texas Health system,” Hoke said. “One aspect of the system is the leadership and foresight in providing the needed tools and technology to the staff to allow for the care and needs of the physicians and patients in a more customer friendly environment.”
Hoke was previously patient access director for a 500-bed trauma center. Her responsibilities included the oversight of inpatient and outpatient Services, labor and delivery, the emergency department, and others. She is a certified Healthcare Access Manager and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Hoke holds a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration and master's degree in organizational leadership and ethics.
