Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman Black Tie Ball set for Nov. 12|
KAUFMAN, Texas — The 2011 Black Tie Ball, benefitting Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman, will be held Nov. 12 at the Belo Mansion in Dallas. Proceeds from this year’s annual gala will help support women’s and children’s services in Kaufman County.
“We think this Black Tie Ball has gotten better and better each of the last three years, and this fall’s event will only build on that,” said Kaufman businesswoman Wendy Thomas, who is the chairwoman of the planning committee for the 2011 gala. “The venue and entertainment will be fantastic, and we’re expecting a bigger crowd than ever.”
Last year’s event attracted more than 300 partygoers and featured a seated dinner, diamond raffle, live auction and dancing, raising more than $57,000. The event has raised more than $150,000 over three years to support women’s and children’s services in Kaufman County.
“We look forward to everyone having a wonderful time and coming together to support those in need in the Kaufman community,” Thomas said.
Proceeds help support prenatal care for low-income and uninsured women in the local area. The goal is to help women have healthy pregnancies and diagnose complications before they cause serious problems for their babies.
