Lynn Kelley Named Director of Emergency Department at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford|
BEDFORD, Texas — Lynn Kelley, M.S., R.N., was recently named emergency department director at at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford. Kelley is responsible for developing and implementing the emergency department's (ED) strategic plan, as well as other ED and critical care initiatives.
Kelley brings with her more than 34 years of experience in nursing. In her previous role, she served as the director of emergency and critical care services at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital for six years. Prior to joining Texas Health Resources, she was the director of nursing operations for Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio from 2004 to 2005. From 2000 to 2004, she served as nurse director of the Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas in Fort Worth. Kelley holds a master's degree in health education from the University of North Texas and a bachelor's degree in nursing from Texas Women's University.
“Lynn’s proven performance and background in directing and evaluating nursing care and increasing patient satisfaction will make her valuable asset to our Emergency Department team,” said Deborah A. Paganelli, FACHE, president of Texas Health HEB.
Kelley is very active in her community. She serves meals at Union Gospel Mission and collects and donates blankets for the Salvation Army. Kelley is on the board of directors and holds the treasurer position for Global Hands of Healing, a medical mission organization serving in Central America and Mexico. She has been on mission trips to Mexico, Panama, Guatemala and Africa. Not only does Kelley serve through mission trips, she sponsors a child in Rwanda through World Vision, teaches the 4-year-old Sunday school class at her church and serves as chaplain for her church choir.
“I enjoy the pace of the emergency department environment and the relationships that develop with the physicians and EMS providers we work with every day,” said Kelley. “There are many opportunities to make a difference for the staff and patients.”
