ALLEN, Texas — Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen President Sheila McKinney dropped a pink puck before the Nov. 4 Allen Americans game to culminate weeks of fundraising for comprehensive breast care services at the Texas Health Allen Breast Center.

Employees of Texas Health Allen and their families attended the game, which included recognition of the Allen Parks and Recreation Department’s Pinktoberfest fundraising efforts for breast cancer services during October. The team donated $1,085 to the hospital’s breast center.

“We are so pleased at the donation and the support of the community for this vital service,” McKinney said. “As a nonprofit hospital our mission is to improve the health of the communities we serve and one way we do that is by working with other organizatiosn such as the Allen Americans team. It is important that every woman who fits the criteria makes time to have mammograms because early detection is our best hope in the fight against breast cancer.”
