Texas Health Fort Worth Named 'Best Place to Have a Baby'|
FORT WORTH, Texas — When it comes to having babies, readers of FortWorth Child magazine turn to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth for care.
The hospital was voted “Best Place to Have a Baby” for the 17th time in the magazine’s “Best for Mom and Baby” readers’ survey.
“We are very pleased that mothers in the Fort Worth area continue to trust Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth with their deliveries,” said Amy Hailey, director of women and infant services. “This honor can be credited to our nurses, employees, midwives, and doctors on the medical staff who are committed to providing excellent care.”
Texas Health Fort Worth is the regional referral center for high-risk deliveries in Tarrant and surrounding counties. It’s one of seven hospitals in Texas designated “Baby Friendly” by the World Health Organization, an honor that recognizes a comprehensive approach to breastfeeding support. Whether patients desire an epidural and delivery by an obstetrician on the hospital's medical staff or a natural water birth with a nurse-midwife, the hospital is dedicated to trying to honor the choices of moms in the Fort Worth area.
