Clean Zone Certification Given to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne

CLEBURNE, Texas — In its commitment to create a clean and safe environment for all individuals, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne recently earned a Clean Zone (Level 1) certification award. Created by JanPak, a national cleaning and equipment supplier, the award focuses on eco-friendly practices.

For more than two years, Texas Health Cleburne’s Environmental Services Department has been using environmentally responsible cleaning products and equipment. Texas Health Cleburne also continuously focuses on indoor air quality through the use of eco-friendly chemicals and microfiber mops.

“By using an exterior matting system, for example, this helps to reduce the amount of dirt brought into the hospital,” said Eddie Jones, director of Support Services. “We hope that our employees, patients – anyone entering our hospital – appreciate and feel good in knowing that we strive to offer everyone a clean and healthy environment. The Clean Zone certification simply validates our efforts.”

To earn Level 1 (the initial level) certification, an organization must achieve:

Proper use of the microfiber mop
Chacon demonstrates the proper use of the microfiber mop.

  • Sustainable cleaning management and procedural standards;
  • Sustainable cleaning tools and equipment;
  • Commitment to source reduction; and
  • Air care system and matting
