Senior Fitness Assessment and Healthy Aging Fair Planned in Denton

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 29, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WHAT: Participants in the Senior Fitness Test will get a snapshot of their fitness level after completing a circuit of tests:

  • Chair Stand – Lower body strength
  • Arm Curl – Upper body strength
  • Chair Sit and Reach – Lower body flexibility
  • Back Scratch – Upper body flexibility
  • Eight-foot Up and Go - Agility
  • Walk – Aerobic fitness

WHO: Adults 55+

WHERE: Texas Woman’s University (Kitty McGee Arena – Pioneer Hall)

WHY: Texas Health Denton is committed to improving the health of those in the communities it serves. Seniors 55+ are invited to attend this special activity to obtain a free health report card as well as resource information for a healthy lifestyle and an enhanced well-being.

Participants will help to provide valuable insight into the fitness level of the senior community in Denton.
