Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth Director Named Associate Chief Nursing Officer 02/08/2013 FORT WORTH, Texas — Gretchen Hunt, M.S.N., R.N., ACNS-BC, has been promoted to associate chief nursing officer at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth. In her new role, Hunt will assist with the management of nursing services, including overseeing processes which ensure that patients’ care needs are being met. She also will assist with strategic planning for nursing and organization-wide initiatives.
Hunt has served as the nursing director for critical care/progressive care/medical surgical services at Texas Health Southwest for the five years. She previously worked as a nurse, clinical education specialist, nurse manager and as a director of clinical education. She currently serves on the PCF/CNL Advisory Board, NCAP committee and Nursing Editorial Board of Texas Health Resources, and successfully completed the Texas Health Leadership Academy Nurse Executive Residency. Previously, Hunt served as an adjunct clinical instructor at the University of Texas at Arlington and was a member of the Texas Christian University Evidenced-based Practice Collaborative.
