Date Set for 2013 Texas Health Kaufman Black Tie Ball 03/18/2013 KAUFMAN, Texas — Mark your calendars for the 2013 Black Tie Ball, benefitting Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman. The annual fundraiser, which helps support the hospital’s non-profit work to provide prenatal care to low-income, uninsured women in the Kaufman area, will be held from Nov. 9 at the Belo Mansion in Dallas. The gala includes a seated dinner, dancing, live auction and, back by popular demand, the opportunity to purchase Shimmering Treasure boxes. “Texas Health Kaufman has set our community apart for more than 30 years, providing excellent health care to our residents,” said Norma Fortner, chair of the 2013 gala. “We strive to make each gala more spectacular than the last, and we hope that you will join us in supporting this great cause.” Other planning committee members include Pat Jackson, Andrea Pickens, Pylar Pinkston, Ann Raymond, Terri Shatter, Carl Stapp, Jo Ann Talbot, Wendy Thomas, Tanya Sij, Carolyn Whitehurst and Patsy Youngs. Last year’s Black Tie Ball netted $55,000, bringing the gala’s five-year net fundraising total to more than $222,000 for women’s and children’s service in the Kaufman area.
