Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital Hosting Hispanic Health Fair

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital is sponsoring the fifth annual Hispanic Health Fair from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14.

The free event will be held at City Park in Stephenville. The health fair is being held in collaboration with KCOM-AM (Fiesta 1510) and the Fiestas Patrias celebration.

Vision screening, diabetes finger stick testing, and blood pressure checks will be available, as well as information on diabetes, dental health, nutrition, healthy pregnancy, sleep lab services, spiritual health and other general health information. In addition to the health information, the event will include bands, dancers, entertainment and food.

“Health fairs are important to help members of the community and the surrounding area to think more about preventive health services and taking care of the whole person – body, mind and spirit,” said Ilda Martinez, medical/surgical manager for Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital. “The event will be a combination of fun as well as great information to improve their health.”

For more information on the event in either English or Spanish, call Ilda Martinez at 254-965-1571.
