Texas Health Kaufman Earns National Respiratory Care Recognition|
KAUFMAN, Texas — For the fifth consecutive year, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman has received national recognition for respiratory care.
The Quality Respiratory Care Recognition was presented by the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC).
To qualify for the honor, the hospital met a series of quality standards and guidelines for delivering high-level care. Approximately 700 hospitals nationwide have applied for and received this award.
“Our respiratory therapists are committed to providing safe, quality care to our patients on a daily basis,” said Trisha Scarborough, R.R.T., director of respiratory and physical therapy at Texas Health Kaufman. “Achieving this recognition was truly a team effort.”
In 2003, the AARC began this national program to assist patients and families in making informed decisions about services available in hospitals.
“This designation exemplifies our mission to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve,” said Patsy Youngs, R.N., FACHE, hospital president. “I am sincerely thankful for the hard work and dedication of our therapy staff.”
The AARC is a membership organization representing more than 50,000 health professionals involved in respiratory care nationwide.
