Texas Health Fort Worth among Hospitals Recognized in U.S. News Regional Rankings|
ARLINGTON, Texas — U.S. News & World Report has ranked four Texas Health Resources hospitals among the best in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in the 2013 Best Hospitals metro-area rankings.

Texas Health hospitals ranked in the U.S. News listing are:
- Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth — ranked No. 3 in the DFW Metroplex, listed as high-performing in cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and GI surgery, geriatrics, gynecology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology, and urology.
- Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas — ranked No. 5 in the DFW Metroplex, listed as high-performing in gastroenterology and GI surgery, geriatrics, gynecology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, and urology.
- Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital — ranked No. 6 in the DFW Metroplex, listed as high-performing in diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and GI surgery, geriatrics, neurology and neurosurgery, pulmonology, and urology.
- Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano — ranked No. 8 in the DFW Metroplex, listed as high-performing in gastroenterology and GI surgery, geriatrics, nephrology, orthopedics, and urology.
Compared against hospitals statewide, the four Texas Health hospitals ranked highly: Texas Health Fort Worth ranked No. 10; Texas Health Dallas ranked No. 14; Texas Health Arlington Memorial ranked No. 18; and Texas Health Plano ranked No. 21.
Rankings are based on reputation, clinical excellence and a mix of care-related factors such as nursing and patient services. Data from the American Hospital Association and surveys of the nation’s top physicians are also used.
