Texas Health Plano Welcomes New Director of Cardiovascular Services|
PLANO, Texas — Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano is pleased to announce that Eleanor “Ellie” Huff, R.N., M.S.N., has been named the Director of Cardiovascular Services.
“With over 20 years experience in health care, Ellie brings a wealth of knowledge to her role at Texas Health Plano,” said Mike Evans, R.N., M.S., President at Texas Health Plano. “We are excited to see her push our cardiovascular services and capabilities to the next level in the years to come.”
Huff joined Texas Health Plano from Methodist Dallas Medical Center where she was the Director of Cardiology. Prior to Methodist, Huff worked for the Advisory Board Company in Washington, D.C., helping health-care executives prepare for reform arising from the Accountable Care Act and emerging payment methodologies. She also worked at GE Healthcare for two years as a black belt helping lead Lean Six Sigma quality improvement initiatives at health systems across the country.
In addition to her business experience in healthcare, she has strong roots in front-line critical care and transfer center operations. She has served as a registered nurse in diverse clinical settings at Stanford University Medical Center, Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.
She is also a frequently invited guest lecturer at health-care symposiums on flight nursing, critical care and neurological trauma and implementing Lean Six Sigma in health-care operations.
Huff has a Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix.
