Texas Health HEB Breaks Ground on Cancer Center|
BEDFORD, Texas — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford, Texas Oncology-Bedford and Cambridge Holdings on Nov. 22 broke ground on a new $6 million, 38,000-square-foot comprehensive cancer center. Texas Health HEB Cancer Center, located on the hospital campus at Hospital Parkway and Central Park Blvd. in Bedford, is scheduled to be operational in fall 2014.
The patient-centered facility will include all oncology-related outpatient services currently provided at Texas Health HEB’s Edwards Cancer Center, as well as Texas Oncology-Bedford and Texas Breast Specialists offices that are currently located in the Professional I Building on the hospital campus.
“We are excited about this new collaboration, which will help advance the treatment and care of cancer patients and provide the highest level of convenience and comfort for patients and their families,” said Deborah Paganelli, FACHE, president of Texas Health HEB.
“The cancer center was designed with input from cancer patients, physicians, administrators, nurses and other care givers to provide a relaxing, healing environment with the latest treatment methods,” said Ajay Dubey, M.D., radiation oncologist with Texas Oncology and on the medical staff of Texas Health HEB, and chair of the hospital’s cancer committee.
Thirteen physicians will office out of the new facility.
