HMFW to open Ben Hogan Center

FORT WORTH, Texas — The new Ben Hogan Center at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital, an innovative facility four years in the making, will open in November.

Named for the late legendary golfer Ben Hogan, a Fort Worth native, the center combines the Ben Hogan Sports Therapy Institute, an outpatient surgery center and physician offices.

The Ben Hogan Sports Therapy Institute offers an array of rehabilitation and fitness equipment, including a conditioning pool, an indoor pitching mound and an area dedicated to functional training.

“The ultimate goal of the institute is to improve an athlete’s performance and help prevent injury,” said Rick Stauffer, PT, CSCS, director of the Ben Hogan Sports Therapy Institute. “By providing biomechanical analysis and conditioning for the athlete, information not typically offered before in a sports medicine setting, our staff may even be able to provide insight on correcting flaws, thus preventing injury.”
