Sports Injury Prevention Event Offered at HMSW|
FORT WORTH, Texas – Athletes, athletic trainers and coaches wanting to learn more about sports injury prevention are invited to attend a free symposium hosted by Harris Methodist Southwest Hospital’s Department of Physical Therapy.
The two-hour event is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Feb. 22 in the Harris Methodist Southwest Education Building, located at 6270 John Ryan Parkway in Fort Worth. The public is invited.
Dr. Tracey Rukab, a specialist in reconstructive sports medicine surgery at Harris Methodist Southwest, will be the keynote speaker. Physical therapists Kristi Boyd and Luke McKenzie are also scheduled to speak.
"We are committed to serving the needs of the community through wellness and injury prevention," said Sara Bennett, a physical therapist and director of rehabilitation at Harris Methodist Southwest Hospital.
