THR Announces New President of the Texas Health Resources Organization for Physicians|
ARLINGTON, Texas – Texas Health Resources (THR), the largest health care system in North Texas, announced today that Michael Stoltz, M.D., has been named president of the Texas Health Resources Organization for Physicians. He will assume his new role on Jan. 7.
“We are excited that Dr. Stoltz has chosen to head Texas Health Resources' new organization for physicians,” said Douglas D. Hawthorne, CEO of Texas Health Resources. “As proven by his two terms as past chair of THR's Physician Leadership Council, he has earned the trust of his colleagues. His involvement with THR and his proven leadership skills will help position the organization as the place to be for physicians in the Metroplex.”
Dr. Stoltz will lead the new physician organization in offering a variety of opportunities for physician alignment in several areas, including medical staff organization, system ambulatory care, physician services contracting, management services organizations, independent practice association relations and physician employment.
Stoltz has served on the medical staff of Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital in various roles for the past 31 years, including chief of internal medicine from 1993 to 1994; credentials chair, 2000 to 2001; chief of staff, 2002 to 2003; and the HMFW Board of Trustees, 2000 to 2005. He most recently served two terms as chair of THR's Physician Leadership Council.
Stoltz began his medical career at the University of Missouri Medical Center as a medical intern. He completed his internal medicine residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital and a clinical fellowship in nephrology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He has provided care to thousands of patients in the DFW Metroplex as a partner at Dialysis Associates for the past 31 years.
