HMFW Names Antonio Castaneda, M.D. 2007 Physician of the Year|
FORT WORTH, Texas – Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital (HMFW) named Antonio Castaneda, M.D., its 2007 physician of the year. Castaneda has served HMFW and the Tarrant County area as a surgeon since joining the hospital's medical staff in 2002.
Selected by his colleagues and hospital staff, Castaneda demonstrates commitment to the highest ethical standards, professionalism, excellence in patient care and continuous growth in knowledge and understanding for self, peers and staff. He is continuously responsive to the needs of the institution and is an active participant in hospital affairs.
Castaneda was previously recognized by Fort Worth Texas magazine as a “Top Doc” in 2005 and 2006 for his commitment to patient care excellence and currently serves as an adjunct clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Castaneda graduated magna cum laude in earning his undergraduate degree at the University of Houston, University Park in 1991 and completed his Doctorate of Medicine at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1995. He completed his internal medicine residency and internship at the University of Texas-Houston Medical School followed by research at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
