HMHEB Salutes Emergency Medical Personnel|
BEDFORD, Texas – Fire trucks and ambulances are a regular sight outside the Emergency Department at Harris Methodist H•E•B Hospital. But during EMS Week, they come in droves, lining up their ambulances and fire trucks outside the ED.
The Emergency Department's physicians and nurses will be flipping burgers, grilling hot dogs and serving up the chow for the fire and EMS personnel from the 11 cities served by Harris Methodist H•E•B Hospital. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 17, 18 and 19, around 100 fire and EMS personnel will come by the lawn outside the Emergency Department each day to enjoy the 4th Annual EMS Week Cook-Out. And they don't just come for themselves. They also load up with to-go boxes filled with hamburgers, hot dogs, sodas and lots of homemade desserts to share with their colleagues back at the station.
