HMFW President Attains Fellow Status in American College of Healthcare Executives

FORT WORTH, Texas –
Barclay E. Berdan, president of Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital (HMFW) and executive vice president of Texas Health Resources, recently earned the status of fellow from the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

To become a Fellow to the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), Berdan had to complete a three year tenure as an ACHE member or Diplomat, complete a post baccalaureate degree, hold a health care management position for at least five years, exhibit leadership both in professional and civic organizations, complete 40 hours of continuing education credits over the past five years and pass a comprehensive board of governor's examination in health care management.

Meeting and exceeding these requirements, Berdan has served as an ACHE Diplomat since 1987 and has been in health care management since 1977. His fellow status was effective January 1, 2007 and is a hallmark credential signifying Berdan's extensive health care experience, commitment to leadership and knowledge of health care management.
