Pruitt Wins Leadership Positions in Two Plastic Surgery Associations|
DALLAS — Dr. Bryan Pruitt, chairman of plastic surgery at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, has been elected president of the Dallas Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also president-elect of the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by your peers like this, and I look forward to continuing to serve in a leadership position of both these fine organizations,” said Pruitt, who has served as chairman of plastic surgery at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas since 2002. “There are many important issues facing the field of plastic surgery, and I’m excited about my involvement with these two organizations during such a dynamic time of change and opportunity.”
Pruitt’s work at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas includes breast reconstruction for patients treated through the hospital’s Breast Care Program, which offers a full continuum of care for breast cancer patients. He specializes in breast surgery, including reconstruction after mastectomy surgery, along with facial and cosmetic procedures.
A well-known lecturer and author, Pruitt graduated first in his medical school class at the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the Emory University School of Medicine and a fellowship in facial cosmetic surgery in Miami, Fla.
