Presbyterian Hospital of Kaufman Employees Help Provide Thanksgiving Dinner For Three Families|
KAUFMAN, Texas — Employees at Presbyterian Hospital of Kaufman, soon to be Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman, have donated food to feed three families this year.
Hospital employees delivered the food to the families in Mabank, Kemp and Kaufman earlier this week.
“In these tough economic times, we wanted to make sure we were reaching out to our community to help those in need have a healthy and happy holiday as well,” said Pat Jackson, community outreach representative at the hospital. “Many of our employees are caregivers in their roles at the hospital, but do not let that giving spirit stop as they leave the facility.”
Jackson collected the food during the past two weeks. Employees could drop off monetary donations or the food itself. Kaufman Christian Health Center and the Domestic Violence Center in Mabank suggested the families.
“I am always proud to see how our team pulls together to help others in our community,” said Patsy Youngs, hospital president. “Our employees work tirelessly in their roles at the hospital and are always happy to go that extra step to help our patients and their families throughout the surrounding communities.”
