Harris Methodist H•E•B Hospital Auxiliary Surpasses $2 Million in Donations|
BEDFORD, Texas — What would you buy with $2 million? Some would choose a 30-second Super Bowl ad or a Krispy Kreme franchise. You could also raise a family of 12 from birth through age 18, not including college tuition.
At Harris Methodist H•E•B Hospital, $2 million does even more. This month, the Harris Methodist H•E•B Hospital Auxiliary is celebrating a milestone achievement: surpassing $2 million in donations to the hospital. Their support has helped provide Northeast Tarrant County with the Siratt Women’s Center, an advanced radiology department, an expansion of the Emergency Department, and funding for a new oncology care unit.
“Since its inception in 1969, our more than 200 auxiliary members have provided crucial funding for projects that have helped us provide advanced care to our community,” said Debbie Paganelli, president of Harris Methodist H•E•B Hospital. “On top of all the financial assistance they provide, our volunteers' donations of time are invaluable. Their hard work equates to 558 full-time positions.”
“Our volunteers are a multi-talented, diverse cross section, both educationally and based on career experience,” said Carolyn Braxton, director of Volunteer Services. “They bring our hospital a wealth of knowledge and expertise from innumerable areas. They truly reflect our mission to improve the health of the communities we serve.”
