Texas Health Partners Names Krystal Mims as President|
Arlington, Texas — Krystal Mims has been named president of Texas Health Partners (formerly known as TpHR), a company owned by Texas Health Resources that develops and operates hospital-physician joint ventures and provides assistance with other Texas Health business development activities. The appointment was announced by Steve Hanson, senior executive vice president for system alignment and performance at Texas Health, who has responsibility for oversight of Texas Health Partners.
Mims has been executive vice president and chief operating officer for Texas Health Partners since Texas Health became sole owner of the company in fall 2007. In that role, she has been responsible for the oversight of all operations, including development, finance and partner relationships.
“Krystal has done an outstanding job of leading Texas Health Partners through the last year and a half of transition," Hanson said. Her team has strengthened our relationships with physicians throughout North Texas, enabling us to partner with them and expand access to quality care close to where people live and work.”
Texas Health Partners is developing Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound, which is expected to open in 2010. The company also developed Presbyterian Hospital Rockwall and provides management services to that hospital as well as to Presbyterian Plano Center for Diagnostics and Surgery, Harris Methodist Southlake Center for Diagnostics and Surgery, and the Texas Health Arlington Memorial Cath Lab joint venture.
Texas Health Partners also provides business office services to the Texas Institute for Surgery on the campus of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.
Mims has been with Texas Health Partners since it was founded as TpHR in 2003. She is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the state of Alabama and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama.
