Texas Health Winnsboro to Celebrate Opening of City National Bank Walking Path|
WINNSBORO, Texas — Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Winnsboro invites members of the community to come to a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new City National Bank Walking Path on the hospital’s campus.
The free event, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, will celebrate the opening of the refurbished track with a BBQ lunch.
City National Bank is the lead sponsor of the effort to complete the track renovations. Employees at Texas Health Winnsboro also contributed a considerable amount in 2008 through the Associates Campaign. The Associates Campaign is an annual giving program that enables employees to fund projects that benefit their hospital.
“We are elated that City National Bank has supported our efforts to provide a great exercise resource for Winnsboro and the surrounding communities,” said acting hospital president Patsy Youngs. “By gaining contributions from donors inside and outside of the hospital we’ve been able to provide a great opportunity for people to improve their health, which fits well with our hospital’s overall mission.”
Texas Health Winnsboro also invites members of the community to come use the quarter-mile long, asphalt track as part of their exercise routine. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that adults spend at least 2 hours and 30 minutes exercising each week. Walking is a free, and easy, way to exercise without needing any special equipment.
For more information about the track or to RSVP by Friday, April 3, for the event, please call Karen Adams at 903-342-3966.
