Texas Health Cleburne hosting Pink Bag Lunch and Women’s Health Forum|
CLEBURNE, Texas — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne invites you to the Pink Bag Lunch and Women’s Health Forum on Tuesday, April 28.
The free event will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at Cleburne Bible Church, which is located at 930 North Nolan River Road in Cleburne. A free lunch will be provided.
Kathy LaTour, a breast cancer survivor and author of The Breast Cancer Companion will speak. LaTour also is editor-at-large for CURE magazine and will present her one-woman show, “One Mutant Cell.”
“We are thrilled to bring Kathy LaTour as a speaker this year’s Pink Bag Lunch and Women’s Health Forum,” said Sundi Forsythe, Black & White Gala community outreach coordinator. “This event is a great opportunity for women to gather and take time to have fun with friends and gather information that can be crucial to their health.”
The event is funded by the Black & White Gala and Friends of Texas Health Cleburne. The annual event began in 2000. Typically between 300 and 400 women attend. Health education materials and information on Black & White Gala sponsored programs, such as “Mammograms are a Must!,” “Shots for Tots,” and “Know Your PSA,” are available at the event.
“We appreciate all the work that the Black & White Gala and Friends of Texas Health Cleburne do to help us fulfill our mission to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve,” said Blake Kretz, hospital president. “The April 28 event promises to be a fun and informative event.”
