Texas Health Azle Expands Services, Scope|
AZLE, Texas — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Azle is expanding its campus and outpatient services to provide more options for Northwest Tarrant and Parker counties. This summer, the hospital will begin construction on a new 5,000 square-foot building dedicated to community education classes and new expanded outpatient services.
“We are committed to investing in the Azle community and growing our scope of services,” said Winjie Tang Miao, president of the hospital. “In 2008, we added several new services including pain management, digital mammography, pulmonology and Lamaze classes. With the addition of our ‘Education and Outpatient Center,’ we will also offer community education classes and a sleep lab.”
The project also includes 70 additional parking spaces to make the hospital more accessible to the community. The hospital’s auxiliary is funding a new meditation garden for patients, families and employees.
“Over the past year, Texas Health Azle has strived to expand our services to offer many of the same procedures, technology and care as you would receive at one of the larger hospitals in Fort Worth,” Miao said. “Our efforts have provided Northwest Tarrant and Parker County residents with health care options close to home, while attracting new physicians and specialists to the area.”
The construction of the Education and Outpatient Center will be completed in spring 2010. For official updates on construction and the hospital, visit TexasHealth.org.
