HMSW Appoints Robert Stansel as Human Resources Director

FORT WORTH, Texas — Harris Methodist Southwest Hospital (HMSW) officials have appointed Robert Stansel as the facility's new human resources director. Stansel brings more than eight years of experience in human relations to the position along with seven years of combined experience as an attorney and in-house counsel.

His new responsibilities as director will include coordinating recruitment, retention, payroll administration and employee relations activities for HMSW.

Most recently, Stansel served as the director of human resources and organizational development for the Hill Country Community Mental Health and Mental Retardation Center. Prior to that, he spent seven years as an associate attorney specializing in employment and labor, contracts, insurance, regulatory compliance and physician and hospital defense.

Stansel also held the position of personnel/training manager for the United States Navy from 1993 to 1997. While there, he earned the Navy Achievement Medal.

A 1996 Magna Cum Laude graduate from Saint Leo College in Florida, Stansel majored in criminology/sociology with a minor in management. He completed his law degree at the Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1999 where he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award. He is also a member of the Society of Human Resources Management.
