Texas Health Cleburne Earns Ultrasound Accreditation from American College of Radiology
10/01/2009

CLEBURNE, Texas — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne has earned accreditation from the American College of Radiology for peripheral vascular and cerebrovascular ultrasound screening.

The two-year accreditation recognizes high practice standards in ultrasound practices at Texas Health Cleburne. Board-certified physicians and medical physicists evaluate hospitals to ensure that facility equipment and personnel meet the organization’s standards.

“Being recognized by our peers is a high compliment,” said Kevin Sullivan, cardiopulmonary manager at Texas Health Cleburne. “We have been providing ultrasound services to our patients for years and the accreditation validates the quality services here at the hospital.”

Texas Health Cleburne offers ultrasounds to diagnose whether individuals have blood clots, narrowed arteries that supply blood to the brain, or limited blood flow access to the arms and legs. All of these conditions can have serious health implications and can lead to heart attacks or strokes if not treated.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for our ongoing efforts to improve ultrasound technology at Texas Health Cleburne,” said Blake Kretz, FACHE, hospital president. “Kevin and our staff stay abreast of the latest trends and technology to bring high quality care to the patients of Cleburne and the surrounding areas.”
