Texas Health Resources Announces New Burleson Facility|
BURLESON, Texas — Texas Health Resources, one of the largest health care systems in North Texas, will open an eight-acre outpatient center in Burleson in April 2010.
Texas Health Burleson will offer advanced imaging, women’s diagnostics, rehabilitation, laboratory services, and more to the growing Burleson-area communities.
“Texas Health Burleson will give residents more options for quality health care close to home,” said Becky Tucker, director of the project. “This new outpatient center provides another avenue for patients to access the top-notch services provided by Texas Health facilities.”
A fitness center with a three-lane lap pool, child care center, group fitness classes and personal training will be offering pre-sale specials on memberships to the public starting Dec. 14. The first 100 members will receive free enrollment. The first 500 members will receive “founding member” status, meaning they’ll receive a 10 percent discount on all services and retail items for the life of their membership.
The facility boasts the first high-field open magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, designed to increase patient comfort while producing image quality comparable to high-field (closed tube) MRI. Its open design helps accommodate patients who suffer from claustrophobia.
“We’re pleased to offer this advanced diagnostic tool, the first of its kind in the community, which will help ease some of the discomforts patients experience with a closed-environment MRI,” said Joseph DeLeon, vice president of business development.
