Texas Health Fort Worth Names Lillie Biggins Senior Vice President of Hospital Operations|
FORT WORTH, Texas — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth announces the promotion of Lillie Biggins, R.N., M.S., CNAA, FACHE, to senior vice president of hospital operations at Texas Health Fort Worth. Biggins previous title was vice president of operations.
In her new role, Biggins will have increased responsibilities for hospital operations as well as play a vital role in enhancing the performance of Texas Health Fort Worth in the areas of strategic planning, program development, cost effectiveness, clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
“Lillie is an invaluable asset to the hospital and I know she will assume her new, expanded responsibilities with the dedication and commitment we have come to expect from her,” said Oscar L. Amparan, president of Texas Health Fort Worth. “I look forward to working more closely with such a talented individual.”
Biggins is a three-decade veteran of health care and has served as the vice president of operations at Texas Health Fort Worth since 1997. She is also the recipient of several prestigious awards including YWCA’s Tribute to Women in Business, Fort Worth Business Press Great Women of Texas, Nurse of the Year from the Brooks and Gray sorority and a Dallas/Fort Worth Great 100 nurse. She was also named a Distinguished Alumni by the University of Texas at Arlington.
Biggins also spends time volunteering in the community and has served on many community boards including the DFW International Airport board, the American Heart Association; the American Cancer Society, the North Texas Business Opportunities for Leadership Diversity (BOLD), the University of Texas at Arlington and the Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County.
In 2006, Biggins received the nation’s highest award for volunteer service, the President’s Volunteer Service Award and Call to Service Award.
Biggins earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and a master’s degree from Texas Women’s University. She is also a Fellow to the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
