Texas Health Cleburne's Faith Community Nursing Program Earns State Recognition|
CLEBURNE, Texas — Members of the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne Faith Community Nursing team have been officially recognized by the state of Texas.
Members of the team are registered nurses (from left) Andy Barton, Beverly Barton, Roberta Sharratt, Julie Hefner, Liz Bryan and Carol Olivier.
“As nurses in this program, you offer your time and expertise to spiritual communities throughout North Texas, ensuring individuals have the information necessary to make wise choices about health services, wellness and disease prevention,” the recognition reads. “With respect for and sensitivity to the beliefs of these faithful Texans, you provide personalized care for the whole person — body, mind and spirit.”
The main projects of the Texas Health Cleburne Faith Community Nursing team are providing the community with the Vial of L.I.F.E., a kit that provides emergency responders health and medication information in the event of an emergency, and beaded gifts to remind them of God’s presence and comfort. Faith Community Nurses also work with area churches to address the needs of their members.
