To provide a healing and healthy environment, Texas Health Resources conscientiously manages environmental impacts and operational costs, and maintains critical business functions. We improved our environment of care in 2012 by:
- Earning the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification of our newest hospital.
- Participating in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR® program.
- Saving $20 million in numerous supply management initiatives.
- Responding successfully to natural and manmade events that tested our business continuity response system.
