The Texas Health Springwood program for women is an outpatient program that addresses the treatment of depression in women, including postpartum depression, loss of a child (including miscarriage) and hormone-related depression. Patients can be referred to the program by a physician, therapist, employee assistance program counselor, or through self-referral.
You Are Not Alone Everyone occasionally feels blue or sad, but when a woman has a depressive disorder, it interferes with daily life and normal functioning, and causes pain for both the woman and those who care about her.
Depression is a common but serious illness and most who have it need treatment to get better. The earlier the treatment begins, the more effective it is. The Texas Health Springwood program for women is designed to balance treatment requirements with work, education and home-life schedules.
