The Texas Health Springwood program for women is an outpatient program that addresses the treatment of depression in women, including postpartum depression, loss of a child (including miscarriage) and hormone-related depression. Patients can be referred to the program by a physician, therapist, employee assistance program counselor, or through self-referral.
You Are Not Alone
Everyone occasionally feels blue or sad, but when a woman has a depressive disorder, it interferes with daily life and normal functioning, and causes pain for both the woman and those who care about her.
Depression is a common but serious illness and most who have it need treatment to get better. The earlier the treatment begins, the more effective it is. The Texas Health Springwood program for women is designed to balance treatment requirements with work, education and home-life schedules.
Texas Health Springwood Hospital and Texas Health Springwood Centers offer evaluations and assessment services free of charge. Patients in crisis may be sent directly from a physician's office. Patients can walk in any time Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Patients can also make a scheduled appointment by calling either location offering programs for women:
