Web-based training will be available in April 2014. Training will have three tracks: Awareness training, Coder training and Provider training.
The awareness track will be best for those who do not do coding on a regular basis, but may need to understand the new coding system at a high level such as patient navigators, case managers, etc.
The coder training will be for certified coders that will be coding as part of their daily activities.
The provider track will be for physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
The coder and provider tracks will include on-site/classroom training beginning in May 2014 and June, respectively. Training will be offered by zone and specialty.
